n Elva anställda vid kulturdepartementet i Egypten har dömts för försumlighet i samband med stölden av en van Gogh-målning i augusti. Vice kulturministern Mohsen Shalan och chefen på museet i Kairo, där verket stals, har dömts till tre års fängelse, men har möjlighet att vara kvar i frihet genom att betala borgen på drygt 11 000 kronor i väntan på ett överklagande. van Gogh-målningen skars ut ur tavelramen mitt på dagen. Alla larm på var ur funktion och bara 7 av 43 säkerhetskameror fungerade.
